A status yellow thunderstorm warning is currently in place for Waterford.
It came into effect at half eight this morning and will last until 9pm tonight.
Met Éireann says strong and gusty winds with possible hail should be expected across Munster, Connacht, and Donegal.
Road users should take care as there are warnings of spot flooding and slippy road conditions.

Meanwhile, a status yellow marine warning is also in place for gales from Howth Head to Dungarvan, to Loop Head and on the Irish Sea.
Southwest winds will reach gale force 8 at times.
That warning is valid until 1am tomorrow morning (Sunday).
