The Medieval Museum, Bishop’s Palace and the King of the Vikings exhibit have been awarded a 'TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Award' for 2020, an accolade reserved for the most popular tourism attractions.
Museum Director Eamonn McEneaney says the award is "particularly gratifying" as the Viking Triangle has seen significantly increased footfall in the past number of days.
"People are really engaging with the space and with the Viking Triangle and with the history of Waterford," he says. "The King of the Vikings now needs to be booked a day, if not two days, in advance. It shows you the interest there is in the history and archaeology of Waterford and particularly the Vikings.
