A Waterford man has been charged with assault after two men were attacked near Grafton Street in Dublin last Sunday. A second man was also charged with a single count of assault.
The Irish Independent reports that two victims both in their 20s were brought to St. James' Hospital. They are believed to be in a stable condition with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
Appearing before Dublin District Court were Daniel Olasunbo, aged 22, from Fairfield Park, Kilcohan, Co. Waterford. He appeared alongside his co-accused, Jeffrey Iyobosa, aged 21, from Barnwall Crescent, Dublin 8.
As reported by The Irish Independent, the Waterford man made no comment to one charge, but responded to the second charge, saying "I don't know these people. I only hit one person."
Bail was granted to both men on a €100 bail bond each, with a condition attached.
Daniel Olasundo must present at Blanchardstown Garda Station to sign on three days a week, while Jeffrey Iyobosa must sign on daily at Kevin Street.
A date for further court appearance has been set for January 30.
