A Waterford man has completed a 50km run in his housing estate for charity.
Gracedieu native JP Tierney took on the challenge for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The charity grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
He set off at 8am his morning and finished just after 1pm.
Speaking to Maria McCann on The Saturday Cafe, Tricia Quinn, Regional Co-ordinator for Make-A-Wish, explained how JP carried out the challenge:
"He's not even going outside the 2km. He's actually doing it in Carn Glas Way. So he's going to be running 121 laps; his laps are 200m long. So not alone a strenuous physical challenge but the mental challenge of running 200m for nearly 5 hours is insane, but he's incredible."
