Waterford has one of the lowest rates of referee abuse in the country

Waterford has one of the lowest levels of soccer referee abuse in the country.

There was only one incident of abuse towards soccer referees in the county, according to a report in The Irish Mail on Sunday.

Nationally, there have been 234 incidents of abuse, with Dublin having the highest amount.

There were 40 cases in the capital, while Clare had none at all.

Along with Waterford, Cavan and Monaghan had just one incident each.
