Gardai in Waterford are hoping to celebrate outstanding young people in Waterford City and County.
They're seeking nominations for the Garda Divisional Youth Awards.
The awards are to recognise young people between the ages of 13 and 21 and the positive contribution they're making in their communities in Waterford.
People have until next Friday, February 14th to get their nominations in.
There are four categories for the awards:
Individual Award - Making a positive contribution to their community, making it a better place to live.
Group Award - Group of two or more, making a positive contribution to their community, making it a better place to live.
Special Achievement Award - Overcome difficult circumstances, defied all the odds and whose commitment deserves recognition.
Community Safety Award - Through a crime prevention or safety initiative/innovation, have made their community a safer place to live.

Inspector Gavin Hegarty says that "the winners of our youth awards will then be nominated to go forward to the national awards".
