A Waterford driver has been fined twice for speeding - the second time being for speeding away after they were first stopped.
Gardai from the Waterford Roads Policing Unit were carrying out speed checks in an 80km per hour zone, when they clocked the driver travelling at 112km/h.
The driver was handed a fixed charge penalty notice for the first offence.
However, as they continued on their way following the initial stop - the driver was soon stopped again.
This time, they were caught driving at 101km per hour.
They were duly stopped by Gardai and issued with a second fixed charge penalty notice in a matter of minutes.
Fixed charge penalty notices lead to three penalty points on a driver's license.
