Waterford Credit Union has revealed the winners of its Schools' Short Story Competition.
The competition formed a key part of the credit union's 60th anniversary celebrations.
Anne Marie Drohan, Marketing and Business Development Manager with Waterford Credit Union, says engaging with schools is very beneficial.
"We have a great relationship with local schools. We have around 22 schools in our common bond area between primary and secondary," she explains.
"This competition was a great way for us to reach out and get schools involved."
Anne Marie says they are keen to maintain strong links with local schools.
"We hold art competitions, quizzes, we speak with students about the role of the credit union in the community," she explains.
"This competition was a great way to learn more about the credit union, the importance of saving, and the different services we have."

Anne Marie Drohan adds that there are many other events coming up throughout the year to celebrate Waterford Credit Union's 60th anniversary.
