Waterford has the third highest incidence rate of Covid-19 in Ireland at present, with only Longford and Carlow currently experiencing higher rates at present.

425 cases of the virus have been confirmed in Waterford in the past week, an average of 60 a day.

The incidence rate of Covid-19 in Waterford at present is 365.8 per 100,000 people - which is significantly higher than the national average.

621 cases have been confirmed in the past fortnight, with the rates all rising locally, and being above the national average in both the Dungarvan and Waterford City South LEAs.

There are currently 9 Covid patients on site at University Hospital Waterford, one of whom is currently in intensive care.

The HSE has today been notified of 1,124 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

As of 8am this morning, 349 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised of which 65 are in ICU.
