A Waterford couple are hoping to create a memorial for people who have lost friends and family to suicide.

Paula and Martin McEvoy say they want to create a space in the city where people could go to find comfort.

They believe that visiting a person's grave is very private and often just for family.

The wooden memorial is being created by sculptor John Hayes and will be placed in the Eco Park in Kilbarry, and a GoFundMe page has been set up.
