Waterford Council is investigating an incident of illegal dumping on the outskirts of Waterford City.
The local authority believes an 'illegal waste collector' may be responsible.
It happened during the night, on the Green Road near Waterford City and anyone with information is asked to contact Waterford Council on 0761 10 20 20.
ILLEGAL DUMPING
This dumping occurred overnight on a rural road just outside #Waterford City where the rubbish was just tipped up in the middle of the Green Road ... most likely the actions of an illegal waste collector .

There was an increase in illegal dumping in Waterford during the Covid-19 lockdown.
At the time the local authority warned householders to ensure that they were not hiring illegal waste collectors.
Niall Kane, Senior Executive Engineer with Waterford Council told WLR that the householder is responsible for the rubbish they dispose of.
"Last year there was a woman in the Clonmel area who was prosecuted by Waterford City and County Council because she gave her to an unauthorised collector and then it was dumped in a stream just inside the Waterford county boundary.
"She was fined €2,000 with another €1,700 in costs.
"That's the sort of thing that you can be dealing with if you're dealing with an illegal waste collector, you might think you're saving a few quid but this is really the cost you're going to end up paying."
