Waterford City is a hive of activity this afternoon as more businesses reopen following the easing of Covid restrictions.
Shaws Department Store as well as retailers in City Square reopened their doors this morning.
Denis Carroll is the General Manager of City Square Shopping Centre, he spoke to WLR's Damien Tiernan.
"It's been interesting, it's definitely a new way of shopping.
"It was quiet enough this morning, the 10.30 start helped a lot, we got settled in a bit and some of the tenants got to know how to work their new systems and get everything in place.
"As the hours went on, it has gotten quite busy. The majority of people are keeping to the social distancing."
He hopes people will continue to social distance.
"It's a difficult task for the staff in security here, they feel it's not natural to tell people 'sorry you can't stand here and talk', we would really love if customers would not get too caught up and if they're asked to move along that they would, we would appreciate that loads."
