A man had to be hospitalised with head injuries after an alleged assault in Waterford City.
Gardaí are investigating the incident that happened in the early hours of last Friday morning on The Quay.
A man in his 30s received a number of punches to the face, resulting in head injuries.
Speaking on this week's Waterford Garda Watch, Garda Darragh McSweeney says they're looking for any witnesses to get in touch.

"The man was taken to University Hospital Waterford by ambulance. The incident occurred some time between 1am and 2.30am. Anyone who witnessed the attack, or those who have CCTV or dashcam footage is asked to contact Waterford Garda Station on 051 305 300."
