The quality of the water at Waterford's main beaches has been classed as 'good' or 'excellent' for the second year in a row.
Ardmore, Clonea, Tramore and both beaches in Dunmore East have been given an excellent rating by the Environmental Protection Agency.
Bunmahon is classed as good.
The local authority in Waterford tests the quality of the water at 12 other bathing areas.
Four were found to be below minimum standards; they are Ballyvooney, Boatstrand, Stradbally and Woodstown.
Annestown, Ballyquin, Curragh, Goat Island, Guillamine and Newtown Cove were of the highest quality.
Kilfarrassey and Whiting Bay were generally good quality.
