Five young men will appear before Waterford District Court in the coming days, having been arrested following an assault in Waterford City.
The assault occurred on Monday, October 2nd when a young man was attacked by a group of youths having been lured to the Wyse Park area.
The victim of the assault was brought to University Hospital Waterford, where he was kept for two days as a result of his injuries.
It's also believed that a sum of cash was stolen from the victim prior to the assault.

Investigating Gardai have since made five arrests - and the victim is expected to make a full recovery.
