Volunteer lifeboat crew-members from Waterford and Wexford spent more than 12 hours at sea in challenging conditions yesterday.
It's after the cargo ship Lily B lost engine power south of Hook Head and began drifting towards the rocks.
Dunmore East, Kilmore Quay and Rosslare RNLI together with the Waterford based Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 117 were quickly on the scene.
They had to battle with high seas and strong winds.
The ship anchored off Dunmore East in the early hours of this morning.
The Port of Waterford's senior pilot, Michael Griffin, boarded the Lily B off Dunmore East earlier this morning.
It was towed by by 'Tramontane' tug assisted by 'Bargarth' tug and arrived at Belview at around 1:00 pm.
It's due to be inspected by DTTAS Marine Survey Office personnel.
Proud to be a part of this team. Seamanship over 12hrs at sea displayed by all three @RNLI Lifeboat crews was admirable. Hats off to the crew of tug MT Tramontane who took over the tow and to @IrishCoastGuard Helicopter #Rescue117 staying overhead, always reassuring https://t.co/gGUFtLcffH
