A 'no swimming' order is in place at Tramore Beach due to Portuguese Man-Of-War jellyfish.
Waterford Council says it's had reports of several dead jellyfish on the beach and it's making arrangements to remove them.
It's advising walkers not to approach the Portuguese Man-Of-War as they can give a nasty sting, even when dead.
JELLYFISH WARNING
We are currently dealing with several (dead) Portuguese Man-Of-War jellyfish on TRAMORE BEACH.
There is a no swimming order temporarily in place. We also advise walkers not to approach these jellyfish, as even when dead, they can give a nasty sting. pic.twitter.com/GJSTukggRM— Waterford Council (@WaterfordCounci) October 1, 2019
