VIDEO: Mount Suir Apartments - Waterford couple call for action

A Waterford couple at a Council-Owned Property in Waterford City say they are continuing to battle issues with mold. Eleanor Foley Jacob lives at the Mount Suir Complex in Waterford City with her Husband and Three Daughters.

The family has been battling a mold infestation for years, with the issue being raised by multiple local councillors. Speaking to WLR News at their home, Eleanor described the current situation.

"The smell is very strong and a lot of people say that to us. We are getting used to the smell because we are living here, but you can smell it constantly and people coming and going say it.

"The neighbours have issues as well, most of the apartments do to be fair. After around six months of moving into the apartment, everything started to go moldy, we started noticing small things and then it started to get worse.

"We have tried to get some kind of work completed in the apartment from the council, and we have been keeping an avenue of communication open, but nothing has been carried out."

WLR has reached out to Waterford City and County Council for comment and awaits a response.
