Emergency services have been attending a fire at a derelict building in Dungarvan this evening (Thursday).
It is understood to have broken out sometime before 9pm at a house in The Burgery area of the town.
A number of units of the fire service are still in attendance at the scene, which is located on the N25, beside the Maxol petrol station.

Gardaí are also in attendance and are asking people to avoid the area if possible tonight.
Anyone with information on the cause of the fire or who saw anything suspicious in the area is being asked to contact Dungarvan Garda Station on 058 48600.
