Thousands of euros worth of damage has been caused to part of the children's playground in 'The People's Park' in Waterford City following acts of vandalism at the weekend.
A number of carriages from the play train, as well as the entrance sign to the junior's play area were destroyed in the incident.
Members of the council outdoor team are carrying out repairs this afternoon.
