Waterford is one of 8 hospitals with no confirmed Covid patients.
In total, 60 patients are in hospital - a fall of 10 over the past 24 hours.
23 patients are in intensive care with the virus - which is the lowest this year.
HSE chief executive Paul Reid says vaccination is a big factor:
"[There's been a] remarkable take-up across the country and across all age groups. Almost 100% of people over 80, 96% of those aged 70+, 91% of 60-69 year olds, and 84% of those over 50.
"Next week, on Monday the 14th, it commences with the pharmacies."
Continuing, Mr Reid said that a total of over 3.1 million vaccinations have been completed now:
"2.2 million people have had their first dose - so they are partially vaccinated - which is 57% of the adult population. And 1.1 million people now are fully vaccinated, which is 26%.
"We do move to the next phase now, which is rolling out further down through the ages now that we've protected the most vulnerable. And, as you know, we're well into the 40+ [age group] at this stage."
Further good news this morning. 8 adult hospitals now have zero #covid19 inpatients (St James's, Naas, Tullamore, Sligo, Galway, Kilkenny, Mercy, Waterford). Also the three Children's Hospitals at Temple St, Crumlin & Tallaght. Great relief for patients, public & staff. @HSELive
