The main Cath Lab at University Hospital Waterford is closed today.
It has been "taken offline for interventional service" today and again on Friday this week.
A spokesperson for the hospital says all relevant stakeholders have been notified and that plans are in place to safely manage patients.
They say the diagnostic service is continuing as normal in the mobile unit.

The HSE was granted planning permission for the second cath lab a fortnight ago.
