Investigations are continuing following two separate crashes near Dungarvan and Mooncoin yesterday.

A cyclist, a man in his 50s, was taken to University Hospital Waterford after he was involved in a collision with a jeep. It happened in the Garrabane area of Dungarvan at around 11.30 am.

In the second incident, a woman in her 70s sustained serious injuries in a crash between a car and truck on the N24 near Mooncoin at around 3 pm yesterday.

She was also brought to University Hospital Waterford by ambulance.

A technical examination of the scene has taken place and the road has since reopened.
