The incidence of Covid-19 has more than doubled in several areas in Waterford in the space of a week.
The most recent breakdown by Local Electoral Area shows the number of cases is increasing in all areas except one.
The data from the Department of Health covers the two weeks from the 6th until the 19th of October
It shows that the number of cases in the Tramore area increased from 23 to 58, that gives a 14-day incidence rate of 259 per 100,000 population.
The figure is still below the national average which was 279 at the time.
The number of cases in Waterford City South jumped from 13 to 42 - the 14-day incidence there is 186.9
There were 31 cases in Dungarvan, up from 22 a week ago, the incidence rate is now 151.2.
The Portlaw Kilmacthomas area is experiencing a spike, by Monday they had 19 cases, it was fewer than five the week before. Its incidence rate is 111.
In Waterford City East the incidence rate is 95.7 after 22 cases were confirmed during the 14-day period.
Once again Lismore had fewer than 5 cases, it's one of only two areas in the country with such a low number of cases.
