After a slow turnout across Waterford City and County, polling stations are reported to be busy this evening.
The weather is understood to have had an impact in Waterford earlier today, with turnout at around 32 percent in the city as of 5:00 P: M, however, recent figures now show over a 50% turnout.
When it comes to the county, Tramore is recording one of the highest turnout figures, standing at over 65% as of 8:00 P.m. this evening.
Dungarvan meanwhile has recorded a 51% turnout this evening, with Stradbally also recording a 50% turnout.
The city is currently standing at a 51% turnout, with a 60% turnout recorded by 8:00 p:m in the 2020 General Election according to a presiding officer who spoke to WLR.
Passage East has recorded a turnout of 52%, while Kill and Dunhill are understood to be around the same.
After a slow start for Cappoquin, Tallow, and Lismore, turnout is understood to have reached the 50% mark, with constituents traditionally choosing to vote in the evening in these areas.
