Waterford Council has closed the Prom in Tramore.

It’s due to the high winds and high tides forecast.

The Prom will remain closed tomorrow and will re-open on Monday.

A yellow wind warning remains in place in Waterford with gusts of 75km/h recorded at Waterford Airport within the past hour.

The orange alert comes into force at 5 am tomorrow and will remain in place until midday.
