Waterford City and County Council advises that the following roads will be closed to traffic on Saturday 20th and Sunday, 21st April to facilitate the Waterford Festival of Food in Dungarvan.
From 6am until 8pm Saturday 20th April the following roads will close:
L3139 Davitt's Quay (from its Junction with Bridge Street to Harbour Street)
L3136 Carberry's Lane
L3137 Galwey's Lane
L3169 Thompson's Lane
Traffic Management will be in place on the R911 The Causeway from 2.30pm until 3.30pm on Saturday, 20th April to facilitate the RNLI Duck Race Event.
The public car park located adjacent to Dungarvan Castle shall close from 3pm on Friday, 19th April until 11pm on Sunday 20th April to facilitate the festival activities.
No parking shall be allowed on Davitt's Quay during the road closures. Access to the Garvey's Supervalu Car Park on Davitt's Quay shall be maintained via entrance on Cross Bridge Street, with all vehicles exiting via Bridge Street.
Traffic Diversions Saturday 20th April
Travelling East from TF Meagher Street to the R911 The Causeway all traffic shall be diverted onto the L3139 Davitts Quay towards the N25.
Travelling North on the L3122 The Lookout Road all traffic shall be diverted via the L3131 Quay Street to the L3128 Church Street and onto L3126 Emmet Street.
From 5am until 9pm Sunday 21st April the following roads will close:
R911 Grattan Square
R911 Saint Mary's Street
R911 - T.F. Meagher Street
L3132 Parnell Street
L3135 Crossbridge Street
L3137 Galwey's Lane
Parking on all the above mentioned streets shall be restricted from 6pm the night before.
Traffic Diversions - Sunday 21st April
Travelling from the R911 The Causeway all traffic shall be diverted onto the L3139 (North or South)
Travelling East on the R911 St Mary Street all traffic shall turn right onto the R672 O'Connell Street.
Travelling North on the L3122 The Lookout Road all traffic shall be diverted via the L3131 Quay Street to the L3128 Church Street and onto the L3126 Emmett Street.
