Three walkers who became disorientated on the Comeraghs on Tuesday night were brought to safety by the South Eastern Mountain Rescue.
The walkers were caught out by heavy fog on their descent from the County Waterford mountains, near Coumshingaun and alerted emergency services at 6.21pm.
The first group of SEMRA members arrived on the scene at 7pm and started making their way to the casualty location.
By 8 o'clock they began to escort the relieved walkers down off of the hill while An Garda Síochána units headed to Mahon Falls car park
All members and the walkers were safely off the hill by 8:50pm last night.
