Three-bed semi detached homes in Waterford City have had the fourth highest price hike in the country.

The cost of that kind of house in the City has increased by 3.7 percent in the last three years, while the county has had no change at all.

That's according to data in The Irish Independant.

The average price of a three bed semi in Waterford City is 280,000 euro compared to 215,000 in the county.

Sligo saw the biggest price increase, at 6.8 percent.

That's followed by Galway at 4.8 percent, and then Longford at 4.4 percent.

Waterford County is among ten other areas that saw no increase or decrease of prices.
