A teenage boy has been taken to hospital following an assault on the outskirts of Waterford City this evening.
It happened in the Fairfield area.
WLR News understands a number of other youths were involved.
It's believed the boy's injuries are not life-threatening.

Gardaí are at the scene this evening and investigations are ongoing.
