The Taoiseach says he doesn't see there being any further delays in the Technological University for the South East.

Mícheál Martin was in Dungarvan today addressing members of Dungarvan and West-Waterford Chamber.

He commended the organisation for their role in sustaining business in the locality through their voucher scheme.

The issues of climate change and housing were also addressed.

Speaking to WLR, the Taoiseach said the official merger of WIT and IT Carlow is on track for January:

"I'm very anxious to see the South East University go from strength to strength and obviously there's a process to go through.

"The minister received a submission from them in September - the 13th of September - and he's now considering that.

"He'll bring recommendations to cabinet. So we are on track.
