Waterford and the rest of the county is set to be gripped by a cold snap as temperatures will drop over the next few days.
A status yellow warning for ice has been issued for the entire country by Met Éireann.
The forecaster says icy stretches are likely this evening (Sunday) and into Monday morning.
Hazardous driving conditions are expected, especially on untreated roads and footpaths, while patches of freezing fog are also possible.
The warning comes into effect from 6pm this evening and is valid until 12 noon on Monday.
