The young man who was stabbed to death in Cork last night has been named locally as 20-year-old Cameron Blair.
He died in hospital after a fight broke out at a house on Bandon Road.
Just after 9pm, Gardaí recieved a report of an assault in which a man had received serious injuries.
He was brought to Cork University Hospital where died a short time later.
This morning, the victim was named as Cameron Blair, a student at CIT.
He was in his 2nd year of chemical engineering and a member of Bandon Athletics Club, who've extended their sympathies to his family and say he'll be sorely missed.
The scene remains sealed and a post mortem on the young man's body is expected to be completed this afternoon.
Gardaí are also asking anyone who might have video footage of the incident not to share it on social media.
