Colder weather and darker nights will officially begin this weekend. The clocks will go back an hour at 2 am on Sunday, 27 October 2024.
However, experts are urging you not to change your routine too much this winter.
Sleep expert, Tom Coleman says you should always prioritise a good night's sleep.
"It impacts our hormone levels, so our ghrelin levels will be higher, as will the hunger hormone. It impacts our immune response, so we mediate our inflammation. It also mediates our ability to repair psychologically.
"We have our brain cleaning itself every night. It's very powerful, so we really must prioritise our sleep.
So, are you a lover of long summer evenings or cozy dark winter nights?
