There's plenty of speculation around the breakdown of cabinet Ministries today.
It looks as though Fine Gael will retain the finance, foreign affairs, justice and business portfolios.
While Fianna Fáil will take housing, public expenditure and possibly education.
It's expected the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will be merged and given to Minister Heather Humphreys.
While the climate and transport portfolios will be merged into one controlled by the Green Party.
Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael will each have six full Cabinet ministers and the Green will have three. Each party will also have a so-called “super junior” minister. A super junior is a junior minister who sits at the Cabinet table but does not have voting rights.
Speculation is high that there will be some 20 junior ministers appointed in total .
Including the super junior roles, it's likely Fianna Fail and Fine Gael will have eight junior ministers each and the Greens four.
All eyes will be on Waterford TDs Marc O Cathasaigh of the Greens and Fianna Fail's Mary Butler later with the allocation of junior and super junior ministerial roles.
Speaking to WLR, Mary Butler says she has no indication of how that will go. She said she is looking forward to taking the temporary chair for the Ceann Comhairle in the Dail this evening when it resumes for nominations of members of government
