Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald has expressed ‘a quiet confidence’ that the party can return two seats in the Waterford constituency when the country takes to the polls for the General Election on November 29th.
Deputy McDonald visited Dungarvan today on day one of the campaign trail to endorse both Sinn Fein Spokesperson on Health, David Cullinane TD and Cllr. Conor McGuinness - who will form part of the ballot paper on polling day.
The Sinn Fein leader made a commitment that Sinn Fein would deliver the Waterford Airport runway extension if elected to government, whilst McDonald also stated her belief that Deputy Cullinane ‘deserves to be the next Minister for Health’.
The campaign team undertook a number of engagements in the county, speaking to voters along the way.
