UPDATE (10.30am): The train has now returned to Waterford where it's understood efforts are ongoing to remove the person for further treatment.
A serious medical incident has happened on a train from Waterford to Dublin this morning.
The 7.50am service was forced to stop near Mullinavat after a passenger became seriously ill.
It is still stopped on the level crossing at Glendonnell, and is completely blocking the road.

Ambulance staff are on the scene.
Major traffic delays are being reported in that area between the M9 and Mullinavat.
Irish Rail say more updates will be provided as they get them.
