The search operation for a missing fisherman off the Wexford coast is expected to be scaled down for the night in the next hour or so (5pm)
A fisherman in his 60s, rescued after the Wexford based Alize trawler sank off Hook Head last night, died in University Hospital Waterford this morning.
The man was in his sixties and from Kilmore Quay in Co Wexford
A search operation for a second man, who was also on the vessel, is is expected to be sacled down for the night because of weather conditions and poor night-time visibility
The search is being co-ordinated by the LE Ciara, which is being assisted by the RNLI from Dunmore East, Kilmore Quay and Fethard-On-Sea,the Coast Guard and local fishing vessels.
Neville Murphy from Dunmore East RNLI says conditions are worsening and with gales on the way, they'll be reviewing the situation overnight with Gardai.
