Cllr. Power told WLR News that he is delighted to have been re-elected as District Chairman:

"I'm delighted again to be re-elected as Cathaoirleach. First of all, I was delighted to be re-elected back onto the Council for my third term and I appreciate all the people who went out and voted for me there."

"Look, it's always great to be  elected as a Cathoirleach to the Comeragh District and looking forward again to working with my fellow councillors, Cllr. Brazil, Cllr. O'Leary and Cllr. Clune, and particularly welcome our new councillor, Councillor Catherine Burke, who I'd like to give a particular mention, and I'm again looking forward to working with Catherine and all the lads for the next five years."
