Waterford sand artist Sean Corcoran is set to showcase his work at a US festival in March.
Sean, renowned for his remarkable sand sculptures and illustrations along the Copper Coast among other areas, is off to Texas for 18 days as part of an international Earth Art Festival.
The Llano Earth Art Festival gets underway in Texas on the 11th of March.
Speaking to WLR's Geoff Harris, Sean says it will be his second time taking part at the festival - having been involved in 2019 before the onset of the Covid pandemic.
"It's a really great opportunity for me. I'm being brought back to a festival that I worked at two years ago just before the lockdown, in Texas, USA. I'm really really excited. I get to return to return to what is a sort of a semi desert valley, with a river running through it. I'm excited to work with some of the most amazing artists, from all over the world."
Sean told Geoff that its' a busy itenary on the cards, but he wouldn't share too much detail about the project in the pipeline.
"It's the Llano Earth Art Festival. The actual festival opens on the 11th of March. It's on from the 11th to the 13th, but the beauty is that us land artists get brought in early - so I'm actually going to be spending 18 days on site. I won't reveal what exactly is going to happen. I've been in touch with some of my friends in Texas, about creating an amazing sculptural installation."
The festival gets underway in five weeks' time.
