Former Bond actor Sean Connery has died at the age of 90.
The BBC reports that the actors family confirmed the news this afternoon.
The Scottish actor was the first to bring the role of James Bond to the big screen and appeared in seven installments of the move franchise.
Connery appeared as the spy for the first time in the 1962 film 'Dr. No'.

In 1988, he won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in The Untouchables, where he played an Irish police officer.

He celebrated his 90th birthday in August.
