Volunteer lifeboat crewmembers in Waterford are reminding people about the dangers of sea swimming at winter.
It's after a man was rescued in Tramore yesterday afternoon.
Tramore RNLI were alerted at 16.42 pm to reports of a swimmer on the rocks near the Guillamene.
The lifeboat was at the scene by 16.48 pm and found a man who was conscious but showing signs of hypothermia.
He was brought back to the pier and crews were assisted by a local doctor until the ambulance arrived.
A spokesperson for Tramore RNLI said that the water temperatures are currently around 8 degrees at present.
