Students in County Waterford have come up with a way of making it easier to plant trees.
Rooted Solutions have been named the overall winner of the Waterford Student Enterprise Awards.
The group from St Augustine's College in Dungarvan were among 130 students from 12 schools competing in the final at the Tower Hotel today.
They will represent Waterford at the National Finals on May 1st in Croke Park.
Sean Dunford explains what Rooted Solutions are about.
"We came up with the idea because we all have a love for the environment and we wanted to do something to help it.
"We came up with the idea for a tree sapling sold in a decomposable bag, you would be able to plant it in the ground with the bag to make planting the tree 10-times easier.
"Also, as the bag biodegrades it provides nutrients for the tree and protects the roots underground."
