A road traffic accident this afternoon resulted in the temporary closure of a section of the M9 in South Kilkenny.
The single vehicle incident occured on a south bound section of the route between Mullinavat and Waterford City.
The temporary closure resulted in significant traffic disruption but the road has since reopened according to Gardaí at Thomastown Garda Station.
