Over 1,700 Ukrainian refugees have arrived into Ireland via Rosslare Port.
Figures obtained by Senator Aidan Davitt show that in the ten weeks from February 25th from May 6th - 1,721 arrivals came from Ukraine into Rosslare Port.
The majority of arrivals came into Rosslare in weeks four and five - with 475 arriving in week four and 470 in week five, which were from March 14th to 27th.
28,178 refugees have arrived into Ireland as of Friday May 6th.
Rosslare is second only to Dublin Airport in terms of arrivals from Ukraine.
23,444 of these have come into Ireland through Dublin Airport.
Other arrivals have come through Dublin Port, Cork Airport and Shannon Airport.
Of the Ukrainian arrivals to date, approximately two-thirds are female, and one third are male. Approximately one-third of the arrivals are minors under the age of 18.
Meanwhile, Waterford Council say they are now in a position to move some Ukrainian refugees out of temporary centres across the county as they prepare for the next influx.
Speaking to WLR News, Waterford Council's Housing Director, Ivan Grimes says that while the unprecedented humanitarian crisis has proved a challenge, it is fantastic that the local authority are now in a position to move some refugees out of the four centres in County Waterford.
"We have already begun moving some refugees out of the four centres that have been stood up over the past few weeks. They're moving into some of the pledged properties - while there's a former retreat at Gracedieu Manor which was opened earlier this week. We've moved most of the families from the centres that we've had in the city and Dungarvan into those longer-term properties."
