Redlane Boutique opened in Tramore, Co Waterford in 2005 and transitioned to online-only at redlane.ie in 2021.
The online boutique will now close its online sales website from October 2nd 2022.
Founder and owner Catherine Keighery has deliberated at length over the life-changing decision and has decided that it is now time after almost 18 years of Redlane for a new chapter in her life.
Speaking on the decision Catherine says:
“It hasn't been an easy decision to make but after a lot of consideration I know that is time to close this extremely fulfilling chapter of my life and to start an exciting brand new one. Any business owner will tell you that running your own business is not a nine-to-five job; I will tell you that running your own business is a 24 / 7 job. I have given this career 18 years of my life and it has been really rewarding but I am ready for change. I am eager to tackle a new set of challenges and I’m ready to find a new direction."
"As many of you may know my wonderful daughter graduated from college last year and has now taken her adventures overseas; much of my grit and determination in establishing Redlane Boutique at just 24 years old was founded on providing a great life for her and I am very proud to have achieved this and now watch her make her own way in the world. I’m also excited to look forward and take my experience, skills and knowledge on a new life course.”
Redlane is having a ‘Farewell Sale’ on Redlane.ie until October 9th and Catherine is determined to ensure that all voucher holders are aware of the website’s closure. The Redlane warehouse at the Riverstown Business Park will be open until the end of October for locals to visit, grab a bargain, spend their vouchers and bid adieu. Catherine says, “It is very, very important to me that everyone who holds a Redlane voucher gets the chance to use it before Redlane closes. I’d like to encourage everyone to check their voucher purse, tell their family and friends to log on and use up their vouchers as soon as possible.”
Lastly, Catherine is eternally grateful for her loyal staff & customers at Redlane over the last 17 and a half years. “I am so thankful to everyone who has supported Redlane over the years. There have been laughs, tears, joy, life moments and more in our little boutique at The Cross and always positivity, fun and banter online. Thank you to you all.”
