514 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Waterford.
It means that Waterford now has the 4th highest incidence rate in the country.
Today's 514 cases mean that 1,611 people have been diagnosed with the virus in Waterford between the 26th of December and the 8th of January.
The 14-day incidence rate in Waterford is now 1,386.7 per 100,000 population.
The national average is now 1,162.2.
Only Monaghan, Louth and Limerick have higher incidence rates than Waterford.

Nine further deaths and 4,842 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the Republic of Ireland.
There has now been a total of 2,336 coronavirus-related deaths in the State.
Of the new cases, 61 per cent are in people aged under 45, with 1,049 cases located in Dublin, 530 in Cork, 514 in Waterford, 405 in Wexford, 247 in Louth and the remaining 2,097 cases spread across all other counties.
The latest figures show a record 1,285 Covid-19 patients are in hospital, with 119 in intensive care.
There were 43 positive cases at University Hospital Waterford last night. 10 new cases were confirmed there during the previous 24-hours.
