Sinn Féin and the DUP have re-entered devolved government in the North after three years of deadlock.
Arlene Foster's been named First Minister and Michelle O'Neill Deputy First Minister as the Assembly met this afternoon at Stormont.
Naomi Long has been appointed the North's new Justice Minister.
The Alliance Party leader was voted in unanimously by MLAs, with nine other ministerial portfolios divided among the parties.
Michelle O'Neill took to social media to say it was "a defining moment for politics in the North":
"This is our opportunity to advance a new and equal society. It is our opportunity to deliver for health, education and public services. We must also create decent, secure and well paid jobs for all sections of society."
I am honoured to follow in the footsteps of the late Martin McGuinness.
I pledge to follow his example by actively promoting reconciliation and addressing the challenges of sectarianism head on. pic.twitter.com/zYdy2YBxde— Michelle O’Neill (@moneillsf) January 11, 2020
