Pope Francis has gone to the hospital for surgery hours after doing his traditional greeting to the public in St Peter’s Square.
The operation in Rome is to deal with a restriction of the large intestine.
It’s not yet known when it’ll take place but the Vatican says there’ll be an announcement once it’s complete.
