Plans for almost 100 new homes have been submitted for Ferrybank.
The application lodged by Kilkenny Walsh Limited is looking to build 97 residential units between the townlands of Mountsion and Mount Misery, Ferrybank, which is behind the Ard Rí hotel.
They would be a mix of two and three-storey houses, with between two and four bedrooms each.
Two four-storey apartment blocks would also be constructed, along with two three-storey blocks, which would have 38 apartments between them.
The planning application for this huge development was lodged with Kilkenny County Council on the 14th of this month.
A decision is due by the 8th of May.
